Clipper Beach A Cape Harriet Novella Roma Brooks 9781520959795 Books
Sandhya is a no nonsense wealthy business woman. The last thing she ever thinks about is taking a vacation, but when she has a chance to visit Cape Harriet in Virginia, she finally takes one. It gives her a chance to think over some personal things and perhaps make some decisions in her life. She checks into the cozy Rising Tides Inn and is immediately swept into the relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The inn’s owners, Pete and Zadie, are warm, caring people. They certainly know about providing customer service. Their hospitality sees to all Sandhya’s needs.
The one thing she doesn’t need is a man, but a fellow inn guest grabs her attention as soon as she sees him. James is handsome and a genuinely nice person. However, his surprising explosive behavior takes her aback. She learns that, like her, he is bothered by demons in his past.
This is a novella that transported me right to Cape Harriet and the Rising Tides Inn. The author made me feel as if I were really there. It took me some time to warm up to Sandhya, but I fell in love with James immediately. Since this isn’t a full length book, many things couldn’t be explored in depth. There’s so much more I wanted to learn about these characters. The story ended quickly. It wrapped things up, but at the same time, I still had unanswered questions.
This is the first book in the series, so perhaps we learn more in the next book. It’s a quick read that can be finished in a couple of hours. I’m definitely hooked on this series and plan to read the rest of the books.

Clipper Beach A Cape Harriet Novella Roma Brooks 9781520959795 Books Reviews
Entertaining characters. Good introduction for subsequent books. I was hooked enough to go get the rest of the books!
Clipper Beach is an easy read, well written and fairly enjoyable. It is a typical romance type book where you know from the beginning what's going to happen. I'm not much into descriptions and found them a bit boring, mostly the food ones. But where I usually skip long descriptions, as the book was well written, I read them all this time.
A warm vacation romance. The way the story made me feel like I want to visit. There is romance and drama enough to keep a readers interest. The characters both have life issues they are trying to deal with and get past. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the next book in the series.
When a author can describe a place so well it makes you want to be there. The food it makes you want to try. The people all have problems. It was a really interesting story but I really like a lot of the books to have happy ending. This book is a continuation to another book. The author makes the book so good that you can't put it down and leave you wanting more. Great book.
This was my first time reading Ms. Brooks books. I enjoyed it. I loved the setting on the Eastern Shore and the town of Cape Harriet. I would love to visit the inn and have Zadie and Pete take care of me. Sounds heavenly! Everything moved very quickly and you didn't really get deep into anything but it was a good read. Definitely left questions hanging but I'm game to read the next book and see what happens.
Cape Harriet sounds like a wonderful place to visit, and an even better place to live. Sandhya takes a much needed vacation, very much needing to clear her head and sort things out. James seems to be a regular at the inn. He is carrying around a painful emotional burden, which makes him appear rude and obnoxious at first. It seems everyone is keeping secrets, including the innkeepers. Very entertaining.
Sweet and clean blooming romance that's a pleasant, easy read. An abrasive fella meets a hard-charging businesswoman in a cozy inn on the Eastern Shore in Virginia. Sandhya, the Indian-born heroine, is a bit of a mystery and the owners of the inn wrangle her secrets out of her. There's actually not a mean or villainous character to ruin the tranquil atmosphere the author weaves around this rural area on the Chesapeake Bay where the views are breathtaking and the sea air bracing and appetite-inducing! I found the novella's end hopeful rather than fully satisfying, but a nice story for a lazy afternoon on the beach.
